Shandi Finnessey Instagram – I love making memories like these. Since moving here to Tennessee in July 2020, we’ve gone to this same camp site every year for their Halloween festivities. We stay in the same cabin, hike the same trail (with a white wine… cause, hey, hiking is more fun with white wine when you’re camping)… and visit the same hawk (and sacrifice Cricket). It makes us smile when they remember their previous visits and talk about friends they made around the campfire, piles of leaves they ran through and games that were played in the cabin. I hope to continue this little tradition of ours until our boys are teenagers and “too cool” to pretend to be eaten by a goblin. (Which, let it be known that the goblin would, for sure, spit Charlie back out. He’s a spicy little one!)
