Last year this time, Brad was commissioned to make an intimate portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II in her youth for His Majesty King Charles III. He made the portrait using a nearly extinct technique, 24K gold point drawing on a prepared ground of crushed bone & rabbit skin glue (crazy, I know! 😅). Word came earlier this year from the Joint Principal Secretary to the King at Buckingham Palace that the work was safely received & now exists in the Royal collection in England 😊.

It was so cool to see the correspondence to HRH King Charles III on the Buckingham Palace stationary. My heart skipped a beat!

We were so bummed that the Queen passed away during this time last year, as the original portrait commission was to be done from life, but it’s an amazing step nonetheless for @blivblack , who never ceases to amaze me with all his talents 🥰❤️
