If there was an example of a film being ‘owned’ in the emotional sense by an audience – ‘Fukrey’ would truly make it to the top 10.
Iconic is the word I would describe the success of this franchise that started off as a small fun film starring new comers – backed by Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd , that went off to earn over 100crores in life time revenue in 2013 (Fukrey) and 2017(Fukrey Returns)
Yesterday we celebrated 10 years of Fukrey with the screening of the film and media and audience interaction post that. Gobsmacked at the love showered on us.
A lot can happen in 10 years.
While I transitioned by expanding my horizons to producing films and cofounding multiple StartUps ; attending the 10th Anniversary celebration was a reunion of sorts with some of my dearest friends from the film fraternity.
The credit for Choocha, Bholi, Hunny, Priya Lali, Zafar, Neetu, Panditji, Smackya, Billa and many others becoming known household names goes to the writers of the film – @vipulhappy (real life Choocha) and @mriglamba (also the director and real Life Lali) .
Look forward to the 3rd instalment of the #Fukrey franchise realeasing in Dec 2023.

Last week, I had the honour of attending #FarEye’s 10th-anniversary celebrations in Noida. The event was a perfect blend of celebration and intellectual stimulation, featuring accomplished speakers and thought-provoking discussions.
Gautam Kumar and his cofounders’ startup journey, which I first learned about at an event at IIT Kanpur (organised by @swatityagi986 and team) has been a testament to resilience.
Engaging with a founder who has traversed the entrepreneurial spectrum brings a unique perspective. His insights, combined with those of other esteemed panelists, offered a comprehensive view of the startup landscape, from inception to achieving remarkable milestones like FarEye’s 10-year journey.
Our panel, ‘Built To Last – Technology, Platform, and Companies’, showcased luminaries with histories of remarkable achievements.
Dr. RS Sharma known for spearheading AADHAR and Cowin Digital initiatives, shared insights on digital identity , Pawan Agarwal ex-CEO of FSSAI , discussed food safety and security. Padmaja Ruparel, CoFounder of Indian Angel Network, highlighted FarEye’s impact in the logistics sector. I contributed my perspective on ‘blockchain solutions across industries’, adding innovation to the discourse.
Wishing them the very best for the next decade!
Thank you @ruchirathore755 for saving the day with @soovos_handlooms ‘s lightest saree 🙂 Jaypee greens resorts n Spa

And one last time!
At the screening of #Fukrey3
Take a bow @mriglamba @vipulhappy @excelmovies ! A decade of Fukrapanti that resulted in some major entertainment and financial success!
Makes for a great case study for B-schools.
Cheering on for #TeamFukrey ..wishing everyone the very best for the next decade and more!
Missed @priyawajanand !
Happy Ganesh Chaturthi everyone!
The challenges of 2020-2022 gravitated me to Lord Ganesh and Lord Shiva ..and I cannot even begin to emphasise the peace I have experienced by chanting their mantras.
Artist, singer , musician #UmaMohan ‘s soothing voice and composition of the #TheDivineChantsKOfGanesh and #TheDivineChantsofShiva have been my constants the last 3 years!
So, while I play these chants in loop and savour my modaks, I pray that the God of new beginnings and removal of obstacles blesses each one of us.

Honoured and humbled to have been felicitated with the “Mumbai’s Women Leaders” title by CMO Asia and World Women Leadership Congress.
Initially, I wasn’t convinced if I should accept this citation – simply because all the other awards and nominations I have received in the past have been vis a vis my roles or films I have produced independently or start up challenges that I have been a part of.
This one was just about ‘me’.
However, I reminded myself that we women often doubt ourselves despite our accomplishments. (Studies even suggest that women are more likely to experience workplace imposter syndrome).
So, while this recognition took me by surprise, it made me realise the value of my collective accomplishments.
Hence, on a rainy evening at Taj Lands, surrounded by incredible achievers, I accepted the award from esteemed philanthropists.
There’s still a long way to go for me, but this award serves as a reminder of how far I’ve come. Excited for what lies ahead!

A shoutout to @ruchirathore755 and @soovos_handlooms for delivering!
My commitment to a sustainable wardrobe has been reinforced in 2023. I no longer shop on impulse ( i never liked shopping anyways ). I don’t shop fast fashion. So no Zara’s , H&Ms , Mango et al anymore.
No polyester blends or any other unsustainable fabric choice. I have learnt to dig into my wardrobe to rewear or share from my mom, sister, niece, besties (read borrow 😅)
If I do shop – it has to be local as far as possible.
I am in the midst of @remakeourworld ‘s 90 days #NoShoppingChallenge
Proud to say I am winning.
Borrowed this beautiful tussar hand embroidered saree featuring ajrakh work from Bhuj by @soovos_handlooms for an event . Light. Comfortable. Very 🇮🇳 ❤️

A late friendship day post. Thought I was too old to be doing this but then reminded myself how lucky I am to have great friendships/relationships.

A recruiter once told me he could see me only in 2 industries : airlines or hospitality
He was right – I am in flights and hotels more often than I am at my office
