I recently had the opportunity to speak at the Golden Jubilee of NATCON hosted by the Jaipur Chapter of the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD).
With the theme of ‘Innovating for the Future’; my session on
‘Art & Tech – The Brahmastra of the Future”, entailed me challenging the myth that art and technology are distinct from each other.
Technology is not always just machines and tools. It is simply put –
creative solution to human problems.
Many brilliant minds throughout history have excelled at both science and art.
Leonardo da Vinci was the ultimate scientist-artist. He studied anatomy and made engineering advances while also creating enduring works like the Mona Lisa.
Galileo drew sketches mapping the moons of Jupiter that he discovered. Chemist Charles Dufresne invented an early plastic and was also a renowned painter.
Actress Hedy Lamarr co-invented radio signaling technology that helped the Allies in WWII.

I was recently invited as a panelist at the Woman Entrepreneurship panel at the prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies’s (NMIMS Global) Business Gala 2024. Engaging with future leaders and entrepreneurs was truly inspiring. I had insightful discussions with fellow panelists Neha Shah and Sonali Singh and I must say, I learned a lot from their perspectives. Connecting with the youth of our country always invigorates me. Their hunger for learning and inquisitiveness remind me of my college days. It’s humbling to be on this side now, reflecting not just on age but also on the journey traveled and the progress made. However, amidst the celebration of entrepreneurship, it’s crucial to acknowledge the significant challenges faced by women in the startup ecosystem in India. Despite their talent and determination, women entrepreneurs often encounter obstacles such as limited access to funding, gender bias, and societal expectations. Addressing these challenges is imperative for fostering a more inclusive and diverse entrepreneurial landscape

3)Roles and Responsibilities – Discussed the differences between being an actor, producer, entrepreneur, and investor. Each role comes with its unique set of responsibilities and mindsets.
4)Attitude for Success – We explored the attitudinal skills critical for building a multi-dimensional career. Adaptability, resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace change are key.
5)Emerging Tech Excitement – Shared my excitement about the fascinating realms of emerging technology within Web3. From blockchain innovations to virtual reality, there’s so much to look forward to.
