With the theme of ‘Innovating for the Future’; my session on ‘Art & Tech - The Brahmastra of the Future”, entailed me challenging the myth that art and technology are distinct from each other. Technology is not always just machines and tools. It is simply put - creative solution to human problems. Many brilliant minds throughout history have excelled at both science and art. Leonardo da Vinci was the ultimate scientist-artist. He studied anatomy and made engineering advances while also creating enduring works like the Mona Lisa. Galileo drew sketches mapping the moons of Jupiter that he discovered. Chemist Charles Dufresne invented an early plastic and was also a renowned painter. Actress Hedy Lamarr co-invented radio signaling technology that helped the Allies in WWII. Brian May of the band Queen earned a PhD in astrophysics. Innovators today like Tomás Saraceno fuse disciplines too, combining art, physics and environmentalism. Art has relied on tech innovations for centuries, just as changing art forms propel new tech like NFTs on blockchain. The two converge rather than run parallel. Rajasthan International

Vishakha Singh Instagram – Attended the International Film Festival Of India (IFFI), GOA 2023 as their Blockchain Advisor with National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) on their 1st ever Digital Collectibles Project!

While it was fulfilling to design the project, put a team together and execute the launch in record time, it was the history of the festival, the line up of outstanding films and the hard work of the team at @iffigoa and @nfdcindia that impressed me immensely.

Did you know:
🎥 The first IFFI was held in 1952 and has since become one of the most important film events globally.

🌍 It is the only film festival in South Asia accredited by the FIAPF in the Competitive Feature Films category.

🎞️ Since 2004, IFFI has been hosted in Goa every year, attracting more visitors to the state.

⚡ This edition of IFFI introduced the Best Web Series (OTT) Award, recognising outstanding content creators on streaming platforms.

🌟 Renowned actor Michael Douglas is being honoured with the Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifetime Award today

💫 IFFI GOA 2023 also marks the launch of its first-ever digital collectibles project – The IFFI DC 2023 , providing VIP access to IFFI 2024 next year, networking opportunities with film fraternity members , masterclasses, library access , priority screenings and much more at the National Film Archive of India and National Museum of Indian Cinema along with the coveted annual Film Circle Of India Membership. (more on this later)

Honoured to have been a part of this prestigious event .

Kudos to all the team members on a fantastic festival.
