We as women were conditioned from a young age on how we need to look. We played with the disproportionate barbie doll, and scanned through the digitally altered magazine covers.
Other people have have also reinforced the message that it’s too big or too small and needs ‘fixing’ . We have heard it directly ‘Hey,looks like you have gained a few kilos’ or from your friends who were laughing about the larger woman wearing shorts that were “too short for someone so fat.
So like a sponge we soaked up the lesson that to be acceptable, we can’t look like that.
Looking like a real woman means loving your body the way it is. I pray this will sink in, give you hope, empower you and strengthen you in your fight to celebrate and love your body.
I hope that it gives you strength to teach your children a different story about the value of their own bodies.💯😇🙏🏻♥️🤗

A lot of red flags start out small or seem harmless at first.
When I used to tell someone that I didn’t like being made fun of in television shows or even otherwise back in my early days, they ‘d respond saying “You’re being too sensitive” or “can’t you just take a joke” .Today this answer gives me a gauge of their emotional maturity and empathy. I then make an informed decision about their role in my life.
Supportive people uplift you. In both public and private. They show respect. And appreciation. They are sensitive to your body language.
They care about how you feel
Knowing toxic people is the first step.
Shifting the paradigm on how much you let them treat you that way is the next step.
