What I found was that nothing – drugs, alcohol, or even a porn ‘stache, could relieve the internal hurts of a past that had no father, money or stable place to live. Was beaten to a pulp by peers, kidnapped by a serial pedophile. Lotta aches on the resume. At 12, the alcohol consumption, beginning with gulping any booze I could steal in liquor cabinets, poured into Mason Jars, a concoction I called “Weasel Piss.” Drugs were added to the menu in 9th grade – pot, acid, coke, meth…whatever I found to numb the pain of past & present. Overdosed in Jamaica, died, hovering over my body until revived. Committed countess crimes, motivated by a hate for rich people. Robbery, vandalism, sold stolen goods. I always wanted more. I was a more whore. Did comedy beginning in high school, but no laughs could halt the anguish. Tried to take my own life. On Nov 20, 1987, I found life. It’s the day I stopped all mind altering substances. I surrendered. Now victorious, in more ways than this kid, who paid someone to take his SAT’s, could have imagined. Success beyond dreams, but the greatest achievement is the self discovery of the man I was destined to be. Freedom!
