Derek Hough Instagram – I have realized over the past few years that I am a slow and methodical choreographer. It became frustrating before I accepted my current process. Seeing other friends and creatives bust out routines in minutes, I would ask myself “dang, why can’t I do that?” I would start to doubt my ability, instincts and over all worth as a creative. However, some of my favorite things I have created and been a part of have been over these past few years, with this new long, slow and often frustrating process I’ve been putting myself through. I guess what I’m getting at is, trust your instincts. It’s ok to be to take your time. If you have a vision stick with it. Surround yourself with people who help support your ideas and who encourage you even when you doubt yourself. Trust your vision.
