What then happened was, like so much of our economy, the risks were socialised (meaning we all paid for it) where as the benefits were privatised. We are still (in the UK at least) living with the effect of that. This year the Tories have tabled and voted for uncapping Bankers bonuses. Entirely the thing that led to those risky practices. Divina De Campo Instagram – What a load of old S### Our waterways have been polluted by our water companies with over 775k discharges of raw sewage, that’s over 5.7 million hours of the proverbial being dropped into our rivers, seas, beaches and waterways. 292 Tory MPs voted to allow them to continue to do this until 2038. There is a target to reduce this by 80% but we all know a target does not mean much when there’s no way to enforce it. That would also still be over a million hours of raw sewage being dumped into our rivers.
