Mantak Chia Instagram – Your Life Force Energy must flow to be healthy🌊
⠀
If our energy becomes stagnant, blocked, or weakened, our physical, mental and emotional health can be adversely affected or compromised.
⠀
☯️Traditionally in Chinese medicine and Taoist practices, pain and disease are believed to result from improper energy flow — movement that is either excessive or deficient.
⠀
Health and harmony comes from abundant Qi (vital force) that is flowing in a balanced and harmonious way through all the bodily systems.
⠀
Within humans, flow manifests in many ways. On the physical level, fluids such as blood, lymph, and cerebral spinal fluid move through our bodies.
Food and water move through our digestive and elimination systems, and oxygen is distributed from our lungs to the rest of the body🫁
⠀
If these processes move too quickly we may hyperventilate or have diarrhea.
⠀
When there is insufficient flow, we may notice issues such as edema or constipation.
⠀
Appropriate flow is also important on an emotional level. When we are emotionally volatile or overly reactive, our emotional flow may be too strong.
⠀
And although we may not be used to thinking about it in this way, depression and resentment may be signs that our emotions have been stuck for a while, and we need to encourage more emotional flow✨
⠀
If we are able to experience the entire spectrum of emotions, fully yet without becoming attached or mired in them, then our emotional energy is flowing well❤️
⠀
It is also possible to notice the quality of our mental flow. On days when there is excessive flow, our thoughts may be racing, and we may find it difficult to focus or concentrate on a topic.
⠀
At other times, our thoughts may seem to loop continuously, we may find it challenging to learn new things or we might be unreasonably resistant to modifying our current thoughts🧠
⠀
Those experiences are typical of insufficient mental fluidity. In contrast, when our mental body is flowing in a balanced way, our thinking is clear, new creative thoughts arise easily, and we are easily able to accommodate new information💡
