Aishwarya Krishnan Instagram – Glute-Ham Raises used to be one of my favourites back when I was training as a teen. Recently added it to my program and have seen a massive difference in my deadlift form and load. Not only am I able to brace, engage my hamstring and glutes optimally, but have been able to lift heavier loads maintaining a neutral back alignment with proper bracing technique. This was quite break through as my deadlift load had plateaued for a bit and was unable to lift heavier maintaining the technique. 

If you know me, you’ll know I give a lot of weightage to the form over the load. For me, form is about being able to engage and target the right muscles involved in the particular exercise. It’s not one fit for all, it’s about being able to establish that mind muscle connection and having that control over the muscle in the movement being performed.

My first 11 seconds Tuck Balance Hold! 

This didn’t come easy at all. Endless falls, wrist pain, frustration, fatigue but it was all definitely worth it. 

The joy of setting a target for yourself and achieving it is the purest form of joy you can experience and well Add resilience, hard work/smart work and discipline to it. 

Like I always say, efforts never ever go to waste. Every bit counts. So never doubt and keep it going! πŸ™Œ

Also, special mention to my friend @utshob.mitra for motivating me and pushing me. Or maybe is it encouraging me (overestimating me) to achieve it within 3 weeks and I guess I did it πŸ™ˆ
