Debbie Matenopoulos Instagram – 🎀Haunted Barbie Dream House Part 3🎀= 🧙‍♀️HATS & BATS🦇. My Barbie inspired Halloween decorating continues. This time I added to the pink pumpkin wreath and the pink cobweb pillar covered in bedazzled bats and spiders by adding illuminated floating witch hats with pink tulle ribbon bows and more bedazzled spiders and flying bats to the to the scene. I ordered ten basic witch hats, 10 bigger bats, some fishing wire, tea lights, gorilla glue mounting putty and mounting tape and started putting it all together. The thing that makes this so cool is that by stringing the fishing wire thru the hat and adding the tea lights, it actually makes the hats appear to be floating in the air. This may be my favorite Halloween decorating idea ever. Tying the fishing wire around the tea light is a bit of a learning curve but once you get it down it becomes pretty simple and it’s just step and repeat. And it’s soooooo cool at night with the lights shining through the floating hats. I added more pink pumpkins and bales of hay to pull it all together. I initially thought that this was going to be the final stop on the Barbie train and I’d be finished. But are we ever really finished?? Now I can’t stop. I need more zzsssuzzzshh. I need more sparkle. I need more Haunted Barbie Dream House. So stay tuned for step 4 and the final BIG REVEAL! I don’t want to tell you what it is quite yet because I want to make sure I can pull it off! 🤪. In the meantime enjoy the work in progress.
