I am looking into the timing of the window members have to fully comprehend the contract.
But, I implore you to put your faith in those that served and sacrificed on your behalf and were in the trenches each and everyday for months upon months.
Your negotiating committee worked closely with the finest team of legal experts who have a keen understanding of both AI and this contract specifically. Nationally recognized specialists on union legalities and language.
The negotiating committee passed this contract w/o objection because no stone was left unturned and every aspect of our gains in this historic contract was fully vetted by highly qualified, world class attorneys.
I can co-exist with naysayers who are not in service to the union, nor a part of the negotiating committee, but do not over estimate their value whilst sitting on the sidelines.
Every living room quarterback believes they could have won the super-bowl but there’s only one Tom Brady throwing the football and only one Sag-Aftra negotiating committee fighting for you!

We battered and bruised, those who sacrificed more than anyone will ever know, stand by this contract with great conviction! Over and over again blank pages became filled with new language that never existed before! Things that for decades had been denied. A new revenue stream. AI consent and casting regulations are all new!
We passed w/o objections in the neg comm and by a whopping 86% in the national board. Do not for a moment think that what was accomplished was anything less than seminal.
