There’s an overflowing amount of animals at our shelters.
Animals living in their feces.
There are dogs who haven’t been walked in weeks & even in 2 months! Who wouldn’t lose it confined to a small space? To then be incorrectly listed as a behavioral case taking away the possibility of being adopted.
How about the dog who had trouble breathing only to be found dead days later even though volunteers spoke up but no medical attention was given.
You can see dogs doubled up in kennels & more dogs in crates that are lined up along hallways.
Dogs being put down because there just isn’t enough space.
Volunteers being let go for speaking up because they want to do right by the dogs.
Where is all the money going? @mayorofla & @laanimalservices we will not look the other way. GM @stayceedains what are you doing to improve things? And to the people who owner surrender their pet, the shelter is “not a safe re-homing facility.”
