Jolene Blalock Instagram – 🕊️ In Loving Memory of Mydoni Narcisse: A Talent Gone Too Soon 🕊️
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable young man, Mydoni Narcisse. At just 22 years old, he was taken from us by an illness that would have been easily treatable in other parts of the world. The pain is immeasurable, and the weight of regret unbearable.
Years ago, Mydoni directed a youth project here at R3VOLVE HAITI, showcasing extraordinary talent behind the camera 🎥. He trained under #NadegeSanon @marcotektek and @vincetheo_haiti Our paths diverged, and life’s challenges distanced us until yesterday’s devastating news.
We are left to grapple with the guilt and sorrow that accompanies every “what if” and “if only” that crosses our mind. This is not just an individual failing; it’s a collective one. Mydoni’s life symbolizes the persistent challenges that plague Haiti—a land under the strain of systemic poverty, external exploitation, and a lack of accessible healthcare.
While the world remembers the Sacco and Vanzetti trial as a grave injustice, let’s remember Mydoni as a similar wake-up call. His death was unnecessary, unjust, and utterly preventable.
We will honor Mydoni’s memory by redoubling our efforts to provide opportunities, sustain life, and fight against the forces that take our young talents away from us too soon. Rest in peace, Mydoni, you will be forever in our hearts. 💔
