Today is National Women’s Health and Fitness Day 💪 You all know how important I think it is to move my body so I’m passing along a little journey of my own in the hopes that maybe it will resonate with you and encourage you to begin or continue your own health journey.
This summer, I set a goal for myself to become a more athletic swimmer so I feel more confident diving into the ocean off the back of the boat when I’m sailing with Manu. I’ve heard that it takes 21 days for a practice to become a habit, so I’ve committed to swimming for ten minutes or more every single day for 21 days.
Some days I loved jumping in the pool and some days I entered hating it because it was late…and I was tired…and the pool felt freezing! But as I swam across the pool I kept telling myself “find the thing I love at this moment,” and I know it’s cheesy to say, but every single time I got out of the pool I felt better!!
I’m on day 23 day of my swimming challenge and feel myself getting stronger every day. I have found something that makes me happy, and I hope you find something physical you love to do and make a commitment to your health and fitness today 💜

The collective experience was incredibly powerful.
