🚨NEWS!🚨 I’m so thrilled to finally share with you that I will be enrolling in the cast of the movie “Opus 28”, directed by the amazing @sofiagolightly , which will come out in the spring! “Opus 28” uncovers the career of real-life Canadian violinist Kathleen Parlow (1890-1963), known as “the Lady with the Golden Bow”, but whose accomplishments have been forgotten. The movie is inspired by the true-to-life story of the discovery of the long-lost violin concerto “Opus 28” manuscript from Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen, originally performed in 1909 by Kathleen Parlow, to whom the piece was dedicated. The last chapter of our film will take place in Montreal, where I will be performing Halvorsen Violin Concerto live, together with @nezetseguin and @orchestre_metropolitain ! I’m so touched to be part of this rare opportunity in which music history comes alive both onstage and onscreen and hopefully brings the unforgettable Kathleen Parlow back to life on November 18th at Maison Symphonique.
