Michelle Clunie Instagram – I woke Dashiell up at 5AM on a Saturday to help me decorate the Teamster’s Pride float. He is such a trooper. Three cities in one month, 5AM I wake him to catch planes. Warrior boy. Anyway, I am proud to co-host the first Teamster’s pride party tomorrow. We can thank the great Lindsay Dougherty for this. She is the head of the film and Tv teamsters and has a tattoo of Jimmy Hoffa on her left arm. She is old school. She is standing by the WGA and has given her word. She says what she means and she means what she says. I hope to see more alliances like this forming over the next few years. If we ever form a true progressive coalition in this country and lock arms and have one another’s backs.. we will be able to accomplish anything and more but we must understand our rights are intertwined and we sink or swim together. We are all fighting for basic human rights and dignity. As the great African Proverb states, “ If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”.
