Amos Heller Instagram – I’m in a movie.
It’s an absolutely wild experience watching all my friends on an IMAX screen. We calculated that at one point my head was 30 feet tall. ( thanks for the slide 1 shot niece extrordinaire @logannbelle)
I’ll admit I was a little surprised at how much I loved watching it. It’s a completely different experience than being a part of the show, and I was free to just enjoy it. I sang along. I air drummed. I 123’ed. I got to be a fan.
The premiere was wild. Everyone looked amazing and I barely got enough time to talk to anyone. You’re never really prepared for an experience like that. It was a buzzing lovely blur of an evening. @karahheller said “I haven’t been tired like this since our wedding” and that really helped me understand it.
What do you say about @taylorswift ? Trying to stay on our feet in this glitzy maelstrom I thought: she does this all the time. I’m grateful to be given so many challenges and to feel like we are seen and appreciated for the work. The vision, the drive, the SONGS. She’s the only one that doesn’t get a break for 3.5 hours. And she spent all night sharing her spotlight with us.
There were a lot of folks that worked behind the scenes not only to make sure this movie looked and sounded its best, but also made sure we had the best time at the premiere. It takes a lot of hard work to make this happen, and the folks doing it don’t always get to dress up fancy and take bows at the end.
