We have used Laser stripping a couple of times but this was the perfect situation! Denny Doler from @americanlaserdistributorsllc AmericanLaserDistributers came by and we just kept bringing over parts. The seats we had for a #Cuda project were really nasty. I can’t stand the idea of having rust under a beautiful new custom seat..but to disassemble it would take a ton of time. Luckily with this process we didn’t have to disassemble them! Once done we threw them in for some epoxy primer and they’re done. While at it we had him clean up our #VincentMotorcycle engine a bit too. #indianMotorcycle Fenders were stripped as well! These #vincentmotorcycle builds are so much fun! One restoration of a vintage #dragbike and one #Vindian …a combo of 1936 #indianmotorcycle and a Vincent series C 1000cc powerplant. #PhilIrving the original engineer actually made one of these back in period to test the concept as #indian was their American distribution network. His was eventually repurposed into another test mule but one exists and attended the recent Vincent rally in California a few months ago. The #restoration gets reproduction #coventryspares hubs that are Bitchin. Reproduction huge drum brakes for the custom are Fontana replicas I believe from europe. @buchananspokes has a package route today. It’s terrifying waiting to see if these parts are going to actually make it through customs and not be left on the side of the road somewhere. The #KTM790duke is insane…and yet so easy to ride! Commuting, Yes….Perfect Cornering, Yes…Glorious Quickshifter, You Bet….Fast As Hell, Shit Yeah!…and for $10K what a bargain. So much performance wow I love these little #KTM naked sport bikes! Needs some custom exhaust if course and a shave and haircut but it is nice to have a quiet bike for a few.
