The #DoubleDown we finished 10 years ago looks, sounds, and drives incredible as you know if you’ve driven it on #forza !! We took it down to #CarFix filming and with help from @motorvitals and @thehotrodshopms along with the @brenton_tv crew she got a full maintainance and some exercise. Funny I keep thinking what the difference was from the real car and video game, now I know. We never had new tires when new and now it’s almost strange she looks more digital than real. After a spin around the skid pad though I know that hyped, Adrenalin soaked, freaked out body and mind of mine is no simulation. So many things I could write about this moment! My first customer paint job was when I was 18 years old just after high school before college on this same car a 1969 Cougar Convertible! $5 an hour for 3 months and the original color was red too. Now, many years later this is one is finally painted and man that feels good! One more coat to go on as I write this, very proud of the results. Happy Holidays from the Fuller home! @pcannonfuller hosted her book club for a party last night and everyone loved how the pavilion we built has turned out! The guys @fullermoto pitched in for the last couple weeks helping get my 5 year project almost finished! We built the custom #firepit hood out of 14ga hot rolled steel and it makes so much more heat now! The flow it makes men’s the fire burns better and with less smoke than before. We hung a 75” TV for sports games that are just getting about ready for playoffs to start. And…the one I’ve been dreaming of for years a Full-Size (pardon the pun) Fridgerator stocked with @creaturecomfortsbeer and an ice maker for holiday mixers. Just a few more things to complete and hopefully this spring it’ll be officially done! The @roylgarage crew took 10 minutes to put the leftover @revoltautopaint out of my #sataspraygun on the aluminum #pitboxes mobile I’ve used for years. This was the first fake #patina I did with Shay she showed me the ropes on how to make a new box look old. That was probably 15 years ago and it needed a facelift. Hell, why not drip the paint from each of the 10 #cars we build for deserving recipients as #art! Loving the #80s colors over the #rust. This beast needs a Bluetooth @kickeraudio system in it!!! Tech Tip Tim from @evercoat and I had a really fun day yesterday getting our 1/5 scale Fleetwood model bodyworked and into their Polyester Primer. We #3Dprinted it in 3 pieces and glued it into one. Our @hotwheels #Fleetwood 1/5 scale model is getting close to having the mock-up done. We have a new resin #3Dprinter which makes the small parts detail way better. This first batch is a bit brittle though so might need to change our resin out or make some thicknesses more robust. Hoping to build the actual car out of aluminum if we can find a client! It’s been a fun start on my new role as #designer on @rideofyourlifetv with @courtney_hansen ! My son and his buddies helped get my space set up and ready for action. The shop is great it’s almost all put together and the team is fun, hard working, and dedicated to the cause. It’s been so long since built the #thundertaker I forgot we had Three #kicker subs stuffed in this beauty that a beast! Maybe we should put a couple more where the spare tire was! Can’t believe we stuffed a full size spare in here too. We tried a new computer based wiring system back then but it really gave us trouble from the get go. Luckily the customer is letting @motorvitals rewire it with tried and true @american.autowire components instead. We’re also remaking the old clear seat covers that were yellowed over time. She’s gonna be like a new ride and ready for a lot more miles just before her debut @ameliaconcoursofficial! Really bummed to hear yesterday that @britturner13 passed away what a loss! The band is local here to #Atlanta they’re a bunch of car and motorcycle nuts. In fact they parked their tour bus at our old shop and would pop by to dream hot machines while we dreamed of going on tour. I finally got to see them live @tabernacleatl while filming #caffeineandoctane last year. Brit was such a fun guy to be around…always chuckling and thinking of the next great idea.
