Craig Shoemaker Instagram – David, owner of @floasisatlanta contacted me when I was in Atlanta, offering me a session in a float tank. He’s a long time fan of my comedy, and was generous to reach out.
I’ve avoided this for decades, when I first heard about these deprivation tanks. Much more of a doer than floater.
Figured I’d be claustrophobic, being put inside of this giant clam shell filled with salt water.
Well, I tried it. Never thought my big dome would float, but it remained a buoy the entire 40 minutes.
I can’t believe how much I loved it. Once I relaxed into the vibe, it turned into deep, mindfulness meditation, bringing a calm peace over my entire weightless body.
Frustrations, resentments, concerns, fears all disappeared, replaced with a sense of divine purpose and inspired actions of healing. My friend Kiki said I looked five years younger. Considering I’ll be a year older this wee, I better jump back in the tub again!
I brought it up on stage last night, but was surprised to see that not one person in the crowd even knew what it was.
Curious, has anyone here heard of doing this? Better yet, has anyone tried it? If so, what were the results?
it was also a time to create, and can’t wait to bring some of these new thoughts to our Zoom coaching program tomorrow! | Posted on 14/Nov/2023 10:04:19
