Now, I will admit, there’s a bit of klutz with the Hollywood glitz. Years ago, with a famous actress on my arm, I stepped on her dress in the middle of the paparazzi snapping pics, and almost turned the premiere into a strip club. That plunging neckline took an unexpected plunge.

A long career has led to a diverse list of venues, including a coupla bowling alleys, a pizza parlor and even Harrison Ford’s former back yard lap pool. Played 7 people to 70,000, and everything in between. Broadway, Hollywood Bowl, Kennedy Center, Universal Amphitheater and the Greek. 4 US presidents at once, opened in arenas for Beach Boys, Ray Charles, @thekennyloggins, even sang backup for Kenny in a pinch. Bachelor parties, frats, countless basements. An attic, porch and bingo hall. Festivals, county fairs; corporate meetings, classrooms. A bat mitzvah, sweet 16, many a retirement dinner. Summer of ‘22 – @davechappelle ‘s cornfield in Ohio.
But, last night, minutes away from Dave’s, I had a first. Performed at a minor league hockey rink! Yup. Moved the Zamboni, covered the ice with wood, and off we went, an all headliner show with killer acts @marylynnrajskub & @jimmyshubert at Hobart Arena. Fund raiser for the awesome Shriners, set up by all-star Dayton real estate agent, @remax_bryanogletree – President/high priest, of the Shriners local chapter.
Kudos to Bryan for bringing a second LaughFest to the area. Laughter is the perfect fund raiser, or shall I say, “FUN raiser?”

Last night at @hollywoodimprov 60 yr anniversary party was off the hook. Too many old & new comrades to count, including these 2, @fortunefeimster @judi_marmel
Fortune is a brilliant comic, but really funny actor too (check out FUBAR). Judi is my former manager, tops in the biz. Smarter, more creative than most in Hollywood, produced my Daditude special, now on AmazonPrime.
Met new colleagues too, @amircomedy and we told fish stories w fish we caught pics, like whipping out dicks at a porn shoot.
Walked the red carpet, with most behind cameras saying about me- “who the fu*k is this guy?”
So much fun. Left for a sec to do a quick comedy set for @jaydaviscomedy at @yamashirola , snagged some laughs, went back to the Improv, met funny cats like @felipeesparzacomedian and chatted with too many others to list. Well. I would, but too codependent that I’d insult by missing someone.
Thanks for being a key to my long career, Improv. Congrats on an amazing 60 yrs!

Sure, I have made a lot of money, have had success beyond imagination, especially considering the difficult beginnings, but the one thing that makes me happiest and even proud is how many inspired, fun connections I have with countless friends. Many of them live in other cities, and we might go years without seeing one another, but do you ever have a special bond with someone, where it doesn’t matter how much you talk, you simply have that divine connection, ethereal glue, which causes a deep feeling of comfort and bliss? That’s me, a multibillionaire when it comes to friendships. And if we haven’t hung out a while, reach out!
Had lunch, hung with my old buddy Bobby M. He created a food hall in Atlanta, a really cool spot with amazing restaurants, including @karvkitchen – wow!
Bobby brought a gang to my show last night at the Punchline in Buckhead. Really fun group showed up, and honored me by standing at the end. No, it wasn’t because they were leaving! 😜

David, owner of @floasisatlanta contacted me when I was in Atlanta, offering me a session in a float tank. He’s a long time fan of my comedy, and was generous to reach out.
I’ve avoided this for decades, when I first heard about these deprivation tanks. Much more of a doer than floater.
Figured I’d be claustrophobic, being put inside of this giant clam shell filled with salt water.
Well, I tried it. Never thought my big dome would float, but it remained a buoy the entire 40 minutes.
I can’t believe how much I loved it. Once I relaxed into the vibe, it turned into deep, mindfulness meditation, bringing a calm peace over my entire weightless body.
Frustrations, resentments, concerns, fears all disappeared, replaced with a sense of divine purpose and inspired actions of healing. My friend Kiki said I looked five years younger. Considering I’ll be a year older this wee, I better jump back in the tub again!
I brought it up on stage last night, but was surprised to see that not one person in the crowd even knew what it was.
Curious, has anyone here heard of doing this? Better yet, has anyone tried it? If so, what were the results?
it was also a time to create, and can’t wait to bring some of these new thoughts to our Zoom coaching program tomorrow!
I’ve performed in all sorts of venues throughout my career, but this weekend I get the honor of saying I’ll be performing in a CASTLE 🏰🤴🏼
