Robbie Williams Instagram – So I was reading in another comment section that some people think it’s rude to ask what a person does for a job. Lots of people agreed. This got me thinking. Im really interested in people and two things I like to know are, age *so I know what their pop culture references are or indeed any references. And their job. Sometimes people are embarrassed to tell me their jobs. I guess cos they think it’s not sexy enough. But I ALWAYS find the answer interesting. Then I wanna know more so I ask questions. This is how I usually converse. The age thing can be prickly but more often than not it isn’t. Very very very rarely I’ll get a ‘How dare you’ I’ve never understood the ‘’you shouldn’t ask a woman her age’’ says who? and why? Im guessing it’s because they think Im judging something. Im not.As I said before its purely for reference. So their offence always offends me. You are judging me for judging you? Im not, so you’re wrong. Now I am judging you for making it weird. The weirdest answer to ‘’how old are you?’’ is ‘’Have a guess’’ no fuck off. This can only lead to disappointment for both of us. If I have to I usually knock 8 years off anyway. To avoid fuckery. Anyway, what say you comment section? Is it rude to ask job/age and if yes, Why? Don’t get me wrong I don’t walk up to people and go ‘’Hello im Robbie, What’s your age and what do you do for a living ?’’ that would be weird. And I am weird. Just not that kind of weird.
