Archival footage is seamlessly spliced with contemporary interviews, and Shere’s own words voiced by @dakotajohnson lend the piece a glorious intimacy. I have not read The Hite Report. I did not know Shere existed before last night. Through a glass darkly indeed… In a world that grows increasingly unsure of itself, art remains the great mirror in which we can truly see ourselves: good, bad, ugly… and human.
