Brit Morgan Instagram – It was so special to see our short film on the big screen for the first time at @ladyfilmmakers festival. I’m thinking so much about all the people who made it possible to get to this point. So many favors and people who donated their talent or money or time. An insanely talented crew and a cast of actual superstars. I feel like I hit the jackpot, especially for my first time directing.
There were a lot of firsts in this project. My first time directing and @emilyanneburton first time writing/starring in a film. You can only say it’s your first time once so in honor of that…I’m so grateful for all the strangers, friends and family who have invested and supported us filming something of our own. Who had faith and trust in us even if we wobbled or answered a question with “I don’t know” or “what do you think”.
One of the greatest gifts in the world is getting to tell our own stories. And to do it with people you love outside the machine of hollywood is just beyond.
Thank you @ladyfilmmakers for the most incredible festival experience and for the honorable mention. And congrats to our love @leahmlewis for winning Best supporting actress!!
