In June, I directed for the first time a short film that means so much to me. After two months of post it’s mostly finished and I am in overwhelming awe and gratitude for the brilliant people who put so so much passion and heart behind it. I’ve never felt so supported. This was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life and as with anything creative the making of it is- in itself the reward but I’m excited to be able to share the finished product. This pic was taken on the back of my pick up truck on the side of the road in Texas. I was 18. I was driving cross country from New Jersey to LA to be an Actor. All my clothes were in trashbags in the back. I had a couple thousand dollars to my name and dreams so big they could fill the universe. The decision to leave Jersey and make this move was weirdly not too hard for me. I didn’t feel cut out for college and something in my gut was calling me so strongly and so fiercely. I wanted a new and bigger life, a new and bigger self. A lot of things that I wanted to happen 16 years ago have happened…and a lot of things haven’t. Rather than the straight climb upward I was hoping for, it’s been more of an expansive dive inward. This journey has turned out not so much to be about becoming somebody else, but becoming who I really am. I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s all so much greater and more beautiful than anything I could have ever planned. For better or worse, my childhood gave me grit and tenacity and for that I am grateful. But more than that…what I am grateful for and what’s held me then and now. What’s been my North Star through all of this – is my belief and inner knowing of the divinity that is all around us and inside of us always. Our ability to connect to our own soul and intuition. The ever-present possibility of miracles and how we’re able to call in exactly what we need when we need it. In my darkest times, life somehow has always taken care of me. We are so guided and protected and the universe is always speaking to us. All we have to do is listen and we will never be led astray. Sending love to younger you and younger me today and the part of us that knows. All we have to do is answer the call. ❤️✨

Chekhov In Love This play was such a transformative experience, it’s hard to put it into words. It felt challenging and risky and inspiring. I reconnected with something essential inside myself. And ultimately it was a lot of fucking fun. Grateful for the opportunity to put my full self to work and for the cast and crew who feel like family. Thank you to everyone who came out to see it. ❤️🌹💌

It was so special to see our short film on the big screen for the first time at @ladyfilmmakers festival. I’m thinking so much about all the people who made it possible to get to this point. So many favors and people who donated their talent or money or time. An insanely talented crew and a cast of actual superstars. I feel like I hit the jackpot, especially for my first time directing. There were a lot of firsts in this project. My first time directing and @emilyanneburton first time writing/starring in a film. You can only say it’s your first time once so in honor of that…I’m so grateful for all the strangers, friends and family who have invested and supported us filming something of our own. Who had faith and trust in us even if we wobbled or answered a question with “I don’t know” or “what do you think”. One of the greatest gifts in the world is getting to tell our own stories. And to do it with people you love outside the machine of hollywood is just beyond. Thank you @ladyfilmmakers for the most incredible festival experience and for the honorable mention. And congrats to our love @leahmlewis for winning Best supporting actress!!
