Brit Morgan Instagram – This pic was taken on the back of my pick up truck on the side of the road in Texas. I was 18. I was driving cross country from New Jersey to LA to be an Actor. All my clothes were in trashbags in the back. I had a couple thousand dollars to my name and dreams so big they could fill the universe. The decision to leave Jersey and make this move was weirdly not too hard for me. I didn’t feel cut out for college and something in my gut was calling me so strongly and so fiercely. I wanted a new and bigger life, a new and bigger self.
A lot of things that I wanted to happen 16 years ago have happened…and a lot of things haven’t. Rather than the straight climb upward I was hoping for, it’s been more of an expansive dive inward. This journey has turned out not so much to be about becoming somebody else, but becoming who I really am. I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s all so much greater and more beautiful than anything I could have ever planned.
For better or worse, my childhood gave me grit and tenacity and for that I am grateful. But more than that…what I am grateful for and what’s held me then and now. What’s been my North Star through all of this – is my belief and inner knowing of the divinity that is all around us and inside of us always. Our ability to connect to our own soul and intuition. The ever-present possibility of miracles and how we’re able to call in exactly what we need when we need it. In my darkest times, life somehow has always taken care of me. We are so guided and protected and the universe is always speaking to us. All we have to do is listen and we will never be led astray.
