When the end credits rolled, I almost felt speechless- especially that last scene. I’m telling you that left an impressionnnn.
& not for the obvious reasons (if you know YOU KNOW).
To me what stood out it was the COURAGE. Sometimes filmmakers might have an idea that’s WILD.
Too wild to believe with certainty that the world is ready for it.
This film feels like Emerald didn’t even consider the judgment of others she let her mind run WILD. 🤪
I love dark thrillers. More so I LOVE bold brave filmmaking. 🎥✨ This was absolutely that.
Not only was it visually tantalising, but the actors were (as Emerald said herself in the q&a) “absolutely delicious”. 🥹
Her use of extreme close-ups brought such an intimacy that felt puckishly prying at times then suddenly gut punched into skin crawlingly uncomfortable. 🫣
Such powerful storytelling that I’m eagerly awaiting my second (of I expect many) viewings. 🤭
