Hāwane Rios Instagram - Every day is a day to stand for their lives- to fight with them for their survival-from whatever place you stand, as you stand for your own life, for your family, for your community it’s -stand for Palest👁️ne! There is nothing in my life these days that I live that does not bring Palestine to heart and mind. Everything is shifting, has already changed more radically than ever- we cannot not know how much we are up against, I am conscious of every thing that feeds into the powers of I$ra3l and I’m divesting everywhere, what I eat, where I grocery, what my child watches and plays with, where we go for leisure and fun and I also am transferring those things to places and things that support from afar their lives persisting, tending to my relationships with even greater care, holding my daughter with more care, loving my partner with more tenderness, treating each stranger with kindness and humanity even if a piece of me fears their opposition to me. And work and creation just is not and cannot be the same. I cannot stop and will not stop talking about how everything ties back to Palestine and that is why Palestine has to be at the forefront of our movements, as we stand with Palest👁️ne we amplify all the things we fight for in equity and justice. Most especially I hold the Palestin👁️ans in how I hold my children-the one I birthed, the ones I teach, and the ones who I am entrusted to raise in village beside their parents who are my kin and comrades. I hold them with the whole of my life, honoring the whole of theirs- I thought I was already doing so before, but my presence grows and deepens each day and I mean to grow them all with the power of knowing what is to come and the readiness of not knowing what is to come. As we live, we must call for the lives of Palestin👁️ans to persist- not just to our governments, but to every person we encounter and we pour into/that pour into us. We need our communities to be educated, aligned and stay ready for what ways to move next. Together.
