I sat here thinking about the moment I saw the first video of Bisan come upon my feed. I remember weeping knowing that she is only in her mid twenties and has done and continues to everything she possibly can to survive this genocide which is something we all really can’t even begin to imagine what is like. Not only has she been forced to evacuate on foot, she has also been without steady supply of food and water. She suffered through illness and through covid. All while reporting to the world the truth of what is happening right now and what has been happening for the past 134 days and 75 years to Palestine. And yet, the world leaders with the power to STOP THE MOST DOCUMENTED MASSACRE IN HISTORY, have done absolutely nothing to stop it.
Israeli civilians are blocking off supplies to Palestinians. They are having rave parties in their cars and going live on tiktok to show the world that they love to murder and starve innocent people. And so many people are cheering them on. Even people of color. Even some of my own people.
Do you really think people who rape, torture, and hunt civilians should be given an award of land and resources and health insurance on our tax payers dollars. And why do so many of you think your hands are clean from this just because it is happening far away from us? It’s very clear and simple to understand. If you pay taxes, the government is using YOUR MONEY to supply Israel with the bombs that they are dropping over INNOCENT CIVILIANS killing over 30,000 since October 7th. Hamas has announced that they will return hostages and the evil leader of Israel decided that he doesn’t give not one fuck about that and announced that they will continue this horror until there is a victory. This is not a war. There is nothing to win. This is genocide. And if you are silent, you are complicit, period.
I honestly hope all of you in the peanut gallery who wrote to me and others and threatened my life and other peoples lives over your undying love for Israel feel fking gross and despicable because you are.
