2023 in one video: lol🧡⚒️ #sundaydrumday
about to release my last song of the year so a little flashback to how I started 2023:
I wrote this song with @aaron_blackmar and @adamsample when I was at a really low point in my life. I was feeling so discouraged and felt like I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going, because everybody else seemed to have it all figured out. I wrote this song and was internally begging that maybe writing this would manifest that sort of attitude of freedom and self acceptance. I wanted to stop trying to fight my flaws and take a step back and appreciate that things will happen naturally and it’s only hurting me when I push against myself and bring on that negativity. I had a vision for the music video for this song for about a year, but I never thought it would really happen. I always played the board game Clue with my parents, and became obsessed with the idea of merging clue with “demons” for the music video, but I never thought it would come to life. I was able to actually do the video because of the support of everyone involved in it, and I can’t thank them enough. I’m so grateful for everyone believing in me and helping me create this video to tell the story of a song that means so much to me, and I hope it helps you feel more empowered to accept your demons too🧡
