#TBT to making Christmas Movies in June. When walking into a high speed fan was the real gift ☀️🎄Happy New Month friends 💕
This movie was a special one for me for three big reasons. 1. I grew up obsessed with rom-coms. That hasn’t changed. 2. I grew up obsessed with Christmas. That too, has not changed. 3. After 27 different characters, this was my first time as a “leading lady” (said with immense gratitude and with/without an Audrey accent). – Growing up, my rom com icons were Meg, Drew, Sandra, Julia, Jennifer (all the Jennifers). Not once did it occur to me that I had never seen one where the woman being pursued was South Asian. And if on the rare occasion I did see her (hello Sarita alà #MississippiMasala 😍) the story had a strong focus on her ethnicity. Which was beautiful and necessary and groundbreaking at the time.🙌🏼 I love my culture. Thing is, as a Sunday School going, Christmas celebrating, little girl whose folks met in SASKATCHEWAN CANADA, I didn’t entirely relate to those stories either. I loved watching movies about Diwali, but never experienced it myself (ps I’m open to invites 🙋🏻♀️). – “Merry Magic Christmas” tells the story about a girl, who just happens to be South Asian, named BETH. (Fun fact: IRL Indian people often ask me what my “real name” is. I swear to you it’s simply Patricia.) Beth loves the heck out of her sister and her niece and will do whatever it takes to look out for them. If she happens to fall in love along the way, so be it. If she also happens to bake Christmas cookies, decorate trees, and go to a Christmas market, so be it x2. – Thank you with my whole heart to @lifetimetv @itsawonderfullifetime @annandbethcasting @reeloneentertainment for trusting me with Beth Mackay. Thank you @brianruberry for your story, @ameliaburstyn for your creativity and incredible support, @cassandraphillipsgrande for the most 🔥 wardrobe & always looking out for us. Thank you @anddunbar for your talent and warmth, @aadiladosani for being the best sister, @mela_pietropaolo for lighting up the set, @misscoreywoods for your contagious laughter, and @jeffgonek for your sass. Lastly, @aubreyarnason 😭. So grateful for your inspiring, powerful leadership and your massive heart. – Friends if you’ve made it this far ommmggg thank you for reading. Love, P🎄

One year in. ❤️
One year in. ❤️
One year in. ❤️
The one and only time I will ever be posing like this. #BarbieMovieForTheWin🥇
It’s. Been. A. Year. Thank you to everyone of you who added to one of the most memorable years of my life so far. Packed with big beautiful Firsts, a slate of miracle blessings, and so so much Love. I’m grateful for it all. And can’t wait to see what blossoms in this new year. Happy Birthday to all my 7/11 brothers and sisters too! ❤️
And that’s a wrap on three of my favorite weeks of 2023 so far. Thanks to this beautiful group of humans that made my first time as the lead girl in a rom com (playing out my Sandra/Meg/Julia/Jen dreams) the most joyful and gratifying experience I could ask for. Hope you get to watch it & hope it makes you feel all the good things – this Christmas season. 🥰P
LA Friends Invite Alert! Event for a Cause✨ The Andrés y María Cárdenas Family Foundation (AMCFF) has been working to create real change in the community by providing scholarships to underserved high school and college students in the San Fernando Valley since 1997. They have awarded over $1.4 million in scholarships to over 1,300 students, and are proud to say scholars have a 95% college completion rate, so your donations are making a difference. To honor their 25th anniversary, they have an ambitious goal of raising $1,000,000. To help achieve this they are hosting the LA Tequila Fest September 24th. With over 3,000 guests expected, this will be a FUNNN event where tequila lovers can discover and sample over 70 award winning tequilas and mezcals, while enjoying live dj sets, gourmet food trucks, a misting garden, boutique marketplace and fun lawn games. If you’re a non-drinker, you can still come enjoy the latter! Can’t come, but would like to support? Just DM me 💛 Hope you can join me in supporting an amazing event for an even better cause. *Note: when purchasing your tickets, please enter board member, “Matthew Barron” so I know to expect you **2nd Note: The first photo has nothing to do with the intention of this post. Just me saying hi with my face really. Link in bio. @latequilafest #latf2022

#tbt to real live printed pictures from a thousand years ago 🧡. As evidenced by the date stamp. Rickshaw-ing around Dad’s hometown in India 🇮🇳
#tbt to that one time the sun was out in LA, and I was hanging out with this beaut, getting my picture taken in the midst of, what appears to be, the best day I’ve ever had. This picture makes me happy. 💛 📸 @reneefariasphoto 💄 @katrinakleinmakeup 👗 #shai

Such a joy to be a little part of this heart-packed film. Thanks so much to the wildly talented @reid_carolin and @channingtatum for being the kindest, funnest (not a word) directors around. • Whether you’re someone who’s been in the military, know someone who has been, love dogs, are on the fence about dogs, or simply enjoy a great story…I hope you get yourself to the theatre for this special movie. Love, P. 💛 #ifyouwerentadogpersonyouwillbe
