Happy New Year Friends. Despite the obvious, I’m thankful for much from 2020. Wishing us all a year of “Unprecedented” Joy & Fulfillment ahead ✨❤️ #greatexpectations #canweNowBanthewordUnprecedented
Sundays. Do you have a Sunday practice? Pre-pandemic I definitely did. Morning time greet the day like a child, have some thankful solo time, meet a friend or two for coffee across the street from church, head over to service. Unless I was serving (volunteering), then it’d be up at the crack of dawn (7am on a Sunday is the crack of dawn), try to make the mandatory tshirt look cute, and focus on remembering why I was going in the first place – to refuel, remember, connect, listen, and if given the opportunity, to be there for someone else. • Since this whole thing, keeping a practice has ebbed and flowed. But one thing I seem to keep needing to re-learn, is that everything Great in my life – in, around, and through me – happens when I’m aligned and connected with God first. The bigger I allow that gap to get – with sneaky distractions, old bad habits, allowing time for the wrong (for me) things/people, external validation-seeking – the more I slowly start forgetting the incredible life I’ve been given, forgetting all I already have that I used to pray/hope/wish for, forgetting the astounding amount of real Love in my life, forgetting the clear purpose I’ve been given and able to continuously live out (note: purpose does not equal career – it just involves it), forgetting the unlimited possibilities on the horizon, forgetting my vision, forgetting the miracles, forgetting the times I almost left this plane and vowed I’d use this second chance to give my all and love with my all, forgetting my personal design, forgetting that all I seek and desire Truly comes from inside and above me. As it does for all of us. • Thing is, like with anything important, it takes more than a weekly “re-fuel” to keep it running at its full potential. So although that’s my Sunday intention – to refuel – it’s also now my intention to check in on my maintenance practices, to see if/where they need tweaking. It can be harrrrrrd at times, especially this last season, but we can do hard things. We’re worth it. • Love to you all today. And all the days really ✨

Just started filming this one, and it’s already, quite possibly, one of the most satisfying experiences I’ve ever had. • The people, the care, the ease, the WORK, the heart, the professionalism, the sincerity, focus, levity, the grounded energy… And honestly I know a lot of my experience is also based on who I show up as/with in the world, and am hyper aware of when I’m coming from my genuine, calm center, or some mask of protection (which ironically never quite protects – but that’s another post for another day ✨). But…I really just wanted to come on here and share some good feelings. About some good things. And hope you enjoy watching those things. And hope you too are feeling good this fine Friday ✨💕 #abc

Still my favorite day of the week. Happy Monday friends 💕
I did a thing today 🙋🏻♀️. Disclaimer: for some of you, racers, marathoners, ultramarathonners, this post is going to sound draaamaatic. But that’s ok ✨ First off. I have neevvvvvvvverrrrrrrrrrrrrr been a distance runner. Ever. I loved sprinting as a child and in track as I got a little older. But MILES?!? Bye. Early this summer I read about this half marathon, and got a punch of “F the idea that running is for everyone else. I can do anything I really want to do.” So I signed up. • Right away I started a training plan, and got in a good groove. But then…life plot twisted me, and I found it frustratingly challenging to stay on track (accidental delightful pun). As the race grew near, I schemed all the ways I could get out of it without looking like a quitter – especially to myself. Fast forward to last week, when I was meant to be away, so JUST IN CASE moved my class to a virtual Half Marathon. • Now I had even morrre of an easy out, if I wanted it. Who would really care? Well, Me. So this morning, I found the prettiest spot for my first 13.1mile (21.08Km), to run/sprint/walk uninterrupted. ☀️ And here’s what I learned/experienced: 1. The right emotions can be the greatest motivators. I was really upset about something early in the morning, and it seemed to give me wings. I raged out on the pavement. Until 2. The endorphins, and God-music I had on, and the birds, and the handful of strangers, and the sun on my skin, and the breeze, fuel-injected my heart, that I started to run with a slight skip in my step, Until 3. The meditative state took over. New ideas for things I was stuck on, a sense of calm and deep peace in every way. I surprised myself with, and allowed for, the tears that came in reflection over things, good and painful. And finally 4. The power of the Grace I chose to give myself when I wanted to stop, or felt like I was losing a mental battle. The second I gave myself that – in the form of stopping and just looking up, checking in with my body spirit and mind, I got the second wind I needed. • Wanted to share this. Especially for any of you who’ve counted yourself out of……well, anything. Much love, P ✨

LA Friends Invite Alert! Event for a Cause✨ The Andrés y María Cárdenas Family Foundation (AMCFF) has been working to create real change in the community by providing scholarships to underserved high school and college students in the San Fernando Valley since 1997. They have awarded over $1.3 million in scholarships to over 1300 students, and are proud to say scholars have a 98% college completion rate, so your donations are making a difference. This year, they have a goal of raising $400,000. To help achieve this they are hosting the LA Tequila Fest in September. With over 2000 guests expected, this will be a FUNNN event where tequila lovers can discover and sample over 50 award winning tequilas and mezcals, while enjoying live dj sets, gourmet food trucks, a boutique marketplace and fun lawn games. If you’re a non-drinker, you can still come enjoy the latter! Can’t come, but would like to support? Just DM me 💛 Hope you can join me in supporting an amazing event for an even better cause. *Note: when purchasing your tickets, please enter board member, “Matthew Barron” so I know to expect you **2nd Note: The first photo has nothing to do with the intention of this post.
