At APA we believe that it is an integral responsibility of people everywhere to value the common humanity which binds us all together and supports the wellness of one another. Be it supporting capacity building for civil society groups in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Ireland to Development Education and many other APA projects, we are making a difference.

APA’s latest project to Promote Decent Work, Rights and Dignity for Domestic Workers (emPoWeRD) in Ethiopia & Tanzania is underway since September 2021. In partnership with Irish Aid, CVM and local partners, the project aims to increase the quality of life of local and migrant Domestic Workers (DWs), to promote dignity and confidence and to obtain decent work conditions for marginalised women. Domestic Workers in these and many other countries have a very high risk of discrimination and rights violations.
This charity is very close to my heart especially as a proud ethiopian with dual Irish heritage.
The humble but tenacious Father Owen… not only married my parents but was one of the first people to meet me soon after I was born 🤗 His dedication and that of his sister Marion to the empowerment of those without, is extraordinary and I am so privileged to be able to spotlight their and the many volunteers and contributors . | Posted on 18/Mar/2023 01:55:35
