The older I get, the easier I’m finding it to deal with change. Filming with @channel4 was due to start in a week but that’s just slipped til early December. If the younger version of myself had been given this frustrating news I’d have been getting angry at my agent and venting about the injustice of it all. Looking for someone to blame. But now I’m aware I’m finding it easier to smile and see the silver linings: more time with Laura and the kids, get the attic expedition storage organised, drop 3kg, finally fix the bloody Landy. There is a black sense of humour in virtually everything if you look for it and life tends to give you what you need – not what you want. Time to smash another productive month at home 🏡🥦💪🏻😎

Se a versão mais jovem de mim tivesse recebido essa notícia frustrante, eu estaria ficando com raiva do meu agente. Eu estaria desabafando sobre a injustiça de tudo isso. Eu estaria procurando alguém para culpar. Mas agora estou ciente de que estou achando mais fácil sorrir e ver os aspectos positivos: mais tempo com Laura e as crianças, organizar o armazenamento da expedição no sótão, perder 3 kg, finalmente consertar o maldito Landy. Há um senso de humor negro em praticamente tudo, se você procurar por ele, e a vida tende a lhe dar o que você precisa – não o que você quer.
