Each note carries with it a symphony of many notes, called overtones or harmonics. The relative volumes are what create the “timbre”, which is an instrument’s unique texture. If you want to see them for yourself, the spectrum I showed on screen is just a free app I got from the App Store “sound spectrum analysis”
