Nirmal Purja Instagram – Today, three years ago, in glorious sunshine and biting cold, me and the ten-strong Nepalese Team strode to the summit of K2 in Winter, arm-in-arm, singing the Nepal national anthem. This is a feat no one thought possible – the first time K2 had ever been summitted in winter, another ground-breaking evolution and one I’m so proud to say I did with my Nepal brothers. It was not about ego or who would make it to the top first, it was about true collaboration – putting that ego aside to ensure this summit was remembered for the power of teamwork, collaboration and to inspire the human race that nothing is impossible.
