TOUGH MUDDER NORTH WEST 2023 •••• 15km of mud, water, hills, and the wackiest obstacles since Richard Hammond and his Big Red Balls. •••• Like Fall Guys, but real life, and you don’t bounce if you fall. And you pay to do it. And you hurt for days after. And you run for way more than a couple of minutes. And there’s no bright colours, it’s all just grass and mud. So it’s nothing like Fall Guys really. •••• I’ve been nervous about this for months – two surgeries later and I’m negotiating this event with a body that needs to do more than just train to run for a bit… There were obstacles I was on doctor’s orders NOT to attempt (and I didn’t, dw) But I conquered it. All 15k. And when I had to miss out an obstacle (like the two that electrocute you) I made sure I pelted it to the next one, just so no one could say I had an easy day of it 😜. We all crossed the finish line together, caked in mud, water, sheep shit, blood and sweat. And dya know what? I had a belting time. I have crap upper body strength so fell off every single set of monkey bars I crossed paths with (into the most horrible ‘water’), but I did do two obstacles that triggered my claustrophobia so I’d say I redeemed myself… •••• Matt, Will, Andy and of course Dan, who I absolutely not in a million years could have done this without, right from training to pulling me up the last few feet of that wall as I dangled from his arms. (And there’s evidence within these photos that he had rather a nice time assisting me too, I guess… 😜) •••• Can’t wait to see the official photos from the event and be greeted by some ridiculous shots of me going arse over tit… @toughmudder

LIVE AT 7PM GMT • Dan and I have fostered these abandoned cats and, we’ve been keeping it quiet while they got up to health, they’ve been with us a month now and I’ve set up a GoFundMe page. • Éowyn, mama cat, gave birth in a garage in Fallowfield and was still nursing the babies when we intervened so she was quite weak. Scout, Fig and Kevin are all in amazing health and are on track to be neutered at the end of November when they’re old enough. Éowyn is now spayed… but we’re covering the cost of all of these vet visits ourselves… • The average cost of food a month for four cats is over £100… The spaying surgery costs £150… We’ve bought carriers, toys, blankets and litter… • We’re not asking for help to break even, let alone profit, but ANY help you can give whilst we get these guys on their feet and into homes, would be amazing. All receipts of purchases and vet bills will be published. • All info can be found at the link in my bio on the fundraising page. • Thank you, you wonderful bunch 💛✨

@rishisunakmp you have doomed us. When are you and your blind followers going to believe that that isn’t a dramatic statement. • 400,000 people die every year as a direct cause of polluted air and environmental poisoning. • It has been PROVED – not speculated – PROVED that the recent flooding in numerous parts of the UK – and the world – have been caused directly by climate change. These same floods and wildfires have created the first real surge of climate refugees. It’s not a future warning anymore: It’s happening. This is our reality now. It’s not the premise for a science fiction thriller or a dystopian drama. We aren’t watching it on TV… we’re watching it through our window. Wake up. • @thegreenparty @mikaelaloach @jonathanpienews thank you for commenting and applying pressure already. @uklabour @angelaraynermp #EdDavyMP your comments and pressure please.
