We carried on with our year trip to the desert
something we’ve done since Ember’s birth
yet this year, sans Drew
and though we missed him ( Astro)
A new tradition was perhaps born
a yearly girls trip is an essential experience
Grateful to be joined by
@youcanfindjules and her
wonderful fam – what a treat to be neighbors
The desert has powerful messages
we slowed down to listen at Indian Canyons
learned about the history of the Agua Caliente
and visited Cabots Pubelo
What Ember and I both digested
was that being unhurried –
relaxing in nature is a birth right
Breathing fresh clean air and water
is a birth right
We are all here for a short time
it’s our duty to learn, evolve
and be good stewards of the planet
And if we truly listen
we’ll hear that the only thing that matters
is joy, love and connection
This year, I’m doing less
so I can be more for her
It’s not my time to hustle and grind
doesn’t mean I don’t have goals – I’ve got plenty
But I’ve got a more immediate focus
keeping myself grounded and sturdy
To properly show up for this
precious soul looking to me
for love and guidance
Emulating my best
and mirroring my worst
like it or not
Raising a mighty little
feminist warrior princess
I couldn’t be more proud
Making my commune dreams real this year
Mission accepted 🚀🛸👽😀🦅
