My grandmother was born in the British Mandate and my grandfather emigrated from Iran as a teenager. They give me strength to create a holy life of meaning whatever that means to me. And this Shabbat they remind me to gather and sing and be grateful for the good. Shabbat Shalom sweet friends. May it be one of shalom (peace) and love in all the ways we can find it.
