🥳🌪️Four years ago, upon the arrival of my second baby – my daughter- I entered a portal. A vortex. A healing, re orientation of my self and the feminine. I’ve always known that when a baby is born a mother is born. But I had been reborn before! Two and a half years prior I felt the matrix open up when my son was born. A whole new understanding of life itself, my place in it, my programming. I didn’t think there was deeper to travel. But here we are. Four years into this phase of development. Of witnessing the innocence of a little girl. Tending and protecting while trusting too. A practice. It’s been the honor of my life stewarding these two precious souls into being. And my own self too- quietly and not so quietly becoming. Happy birthday to my beloved daughter who delights and awakens us at every turn. We love you so.🌪️ 🥳

✌🏼💕Every time I leave my family for an advocacy trip, I write that this fight is inspired by them. Which has become true and false. Yes- I want to leave the world a more harmonious place, a safe and loving place, for them. But I won’t “fight” for it. I won’t “combat hate”. What I’m learning is that fighting got us all only so far. So what I’ll do is engage. I’ll educate. I’ll listen and I’ll learn too. I will regulate and moderate. I won’t “arm myself” with information but I’ll become literate. My family lineage is one of war (and certainly not by choice). My great-grandparents, my grandparents, my parents: all survivors of one war or another. I am the only one of my American born Jewish siblings who hasn’t been caught in the literal crossfire in Israel. I would have every right to take up the sword and defend myself. But that is not my weapon of choice. In fact, I choose to go unarmored. I have the privilege and the dumb luck to do so. I’ll take it. I’ll take it and I’ll ride with it. The status quo is changing as we speak. Women are constantly creating life and opportunities and the world is finally beginning to accept that the future is female and we need more of them as leaders. 🩷 This is one of my favorite conversations I had of 2023 with @daniellarabbani – a fellow talented and successful actress who hosts the @momcuriouspodcast talking to inspiring women in NYC. I’m having more and more of these conversations with young women in creative spaces, entrepreneurs, independent business owners or highly ranked professionals and thought leaders who are interested but afraid to embrace their nature as women and therefore choose to be more submissive to society’s structures. I can recall many figures of the entertainment industry pushing me to believe that as women we have to be obsessed with career and not family. I was even told recently that there are companies paying women to freeze their eggs in order to work longer. This saddens me as the woman’s voice and desires may become silenced. If you’re a woman who is looking for the support to create the balanced life she wants, I hope this episode gives you a boost of confidence to step into your power.
