Jo Frost Instagram – When children look out of a car window, they will observe alot, learn something new each time,even confirm what they thought. The changing colours of the trees,different houses and the way they are built.The colors of different things, the weather,people busy in life,some caught in expression,banter. Airplanes,trains on tracks,art work and so much more………. Yet parents block all of that in a weak,auto parenting,blind moment of leadership because it’s ‘easier’ for them to give their child a cell phone…an iPad to distract,even if it does have edu tools on it. I recently watched a family of 6 in Italy,consumed in their own tech world eating oblivious around a table ‘together’ ,right in front of a wealth of history! How is this happening? 2 year olds in strollers watching parents iPhone, distracted. Teens with parents but not present,consumed elsewhere. Today’s post is a reminder that it’s easier to blame the child ‘needing it’ than to sometimes look at yourself as a parent and do the right thing.
