Katie Couric Instagram – I can’t believe it’s been fifteen years since Captain Sully Sullenberger landed a plane on the Hudson River. ✈️ This was one of the most riveting and inspiring (and most competitive!) interviews I’ve ever done. @captsully is an American hero—and on January 15, 2009, it was just what the country needed. Rewatching this, you can see that Sully is one cool customer. Getting to know him has been one of the highlights of my career. Thank you Sully, co-pilot Jeff Skiles and the entire flight crew for your grace under pressure and for saving the lives of all 155 passengers on board. It truly was a miracle on the Hudson. ❤️ PS I love this quote by Sully so much: “For 42 years I’ve been making small, regular deposits in this bank of experience.
