Today marks 8 YEARS SOBER! It’s my sober anniversary. A new birthday. Or a re-birth. However you look at it I really can’t believe how quickly those eight years flew by. I couldn’t do it without my incredible husband who keeps me “on the beam” every single day! Being sober in this industry is difficult at times but so worth it! Life is still hard and will always throw curveballs my way, that’s life, that’s how it works. But now I can face them with a clearer mind and more regulated emotions, I don’t fly off the handle when small thing go wrong. Here’s to another year of sobriety and all that comes with it! To anyone who might be toying with the idea, sober-curious, you never know what amazing things this will bring you unless you try it for an extended period of time. It doesn’t have to be forever but the changes you will see will astound you. If you need someone to talk to my door is always open! A trailer for @indreamsmusical is here! I am extremely proud of this show! @lukejshepparduk and @westread are both such visionaries and I am lucky I get to be a conduit for them. We have 2.5 more weeks at the @leedsplayhouse and then we go to Toronto to play the @edmirvishtheatre from late Sept till mid November! The fact that the show is doing as well as it’s doing first time out of the gate is impressive. I am never one to relax and call something done so every show I get to do is a precious learning experience where I find out more about my character and their connection to the rest of the show, diving ever deeper and adding more and more layers. That’s the fun of theater. The more I do the more I learn the more in depth the character becomes! I encourage you to go and see some live theatre because that connection of audience to cast can be moving, life changing, up lifting, and cathartic.
