I literally started my new year witnessing this animal swim out from the sea so close to me! I looked for the significance of spotting one which is bizarrely rare as there are maybe 3000-5000 Komodos left in this world and they classify as a vulnerable species. So this is what it meant- “PROTECTOR OF THE TRIBE”
In Native American culture, the Komodo dragon symbolizes wisdom, power, and strength. This mighty creature is often associated with the sun and seen as a bringer of light and life. The Komodo dragon is also known for its fierce protective nature and is considered to be a powerful totem animal.
This creature is associated with the element of fire and is said to have a strong connection to the spirit world. In some cultures, the Komodo dragon is also a symbol of rebirth and transformation.
