Sharna Burgess Instagram – Morning hairs 🤍 Every morning I video coming into his room and it’s the most beautiful moment. Sometimes I share it on my stories when it’s just too cute not to. But I don’t do it with the intention of sharing. I video every morning because these moments I know won’t last forever and I want to immortalize as many of them as I can. The first time he sees me or sees the kids coming in to say good morning his little face lights up. His hair is ALWAYS wild and his little button nose is always a touch pink. Sometimes when daddy doesn’t take out his top knot he wakes up like Lucy Lou Who from the Grinch. 😂 his sweet little voice saying Hi as he waves. I can never ever get enough. Wake ups and bedtimes are without doubt my favorite times of day. Bedtime I sing or hum for him, I speak positive affirmations to him, remind him how loved and safe he is and I thank him for choosing me. For making me a mama. Motherhood. My greatest, most favorite and coolest thing I’ve done yet. And I’ve done some pretty cool things :)
Sharna Burgess Instagram – Yesterday’s episode is much more of an open share than I had intended. That’s also why it’s taken u til today to post for it. This part of my life is so long ago that going back to it felt both strange, cathartic and in the aftermath… scary. It’s honestly like a past life that I have a glimpse of. I opened up to Bri last night and said how anxious I was feeling having shared a part of me that was before now, completely unknown. When we speak on our podcast it is such a safe open space to share and I often forget that thousands of people will hear it and that media will pick it up. I saw a few headlines and immediately felt so vulnerable and scared of how it would be received, how people would judge me. Bri beautifully reminded me that this is only one part of my story and that sharing it could be a source of hope or inspiration for people. So as much as I felt residual feelings of shame, im also reminded of how far I’ve come and how strong I truly am. I am hopeful that what I shared reaches whoever it’s meant to. Randy’s story is also incredible and beautifully shared. Today we are recording our reaction episode and answering your questions.
