Vikas Khanna Instagram – This dish was inspired from Ugadi in Udupi. (1992) The harvest festival of Karnataka. I had the Prasad of coconut payasa (rice pudding) at Krishna Temple & later went to my sculptor teacher Gangadhar Rao house for the festival prayers. His amazing wife had made Pineapple Sheera for me. The taste of memory helped us create this dish. Vikas Khanna Instagram – Every single day I’m trying to learn & add to my life’s cookbook. When I was hosting a SPECIAL MILLETS DINNER for @indiainnewyork I created this simple yet wholesome dish. India has been very successful in adding several varieties of millets to American grocery stores. A sustainable grain which requires much less water than other grains. ❤️
