I developed a visualization in 2020 during a preposterously difficult time. Keep in mind that one should use this logically. Sometimes you must react quickly and instinctually for your protection and for the protection of others. Other than those moments saturated in electricity from the Amygdala, you can apply this. Never be idle during danger. I call it the “cliff of observation” approach. God/Goddess forbid we need to use this but… When you are at an emotional and complex moment in life, instead of being in the sea of emotion and reaction. You stay up above the waters of emotion and simply observe instead of reacting whilst looking at the situation rationally but as a separate part of existence. The sea of thought and these emotions is not you because you aren’t your thoughts or emotions. Thoughts are just data from recognition and memory. Be your intent and out of the water and on that cliffside of clarity and observation where we see everything and avoid drowning. I’ll never forget competing against this massive anomaly of an opponent. This 18 year old bloke would get other large wrestlers in nasty Greco-Roman body locks and squeeze them with immense strength or do a lighting fast double leg takedown. This is our second match when he was passionately vengeful and wanted to maul me for beating him in 17 seconds with a Judo move that confused his Greco-Roman background. I’ll never forget the kind of fighter I am and that I won medals very recently in combat sport. It always gives people who wish I was only a high school wrestler a big load to choke on.
