I love their simple, organic regenerative seasonal food. It is always inspiring to me!” -Alice Waters Last night, we hosted an intimate gathering and meal in celebration of our dear friend, Peter Sellars, and in collaboration with @thehammermuseum and @uclaftvarchive. The evening began at the Billy Wilder Theater for the screening of “this body is so impermanent…” directed by Peter Sellars. The film was part of ‘Reimagining the Olympiad: Body and Mind,’ co-presented by the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Guests were then welcomed into our courtyard and dining room for a specially prepared dinner by our chefs: – shaved radish and vegetable salad – savory miso broth with celery root – chanterelle mushrooms with Burgundy black truffles and roasted kobocha, delicata and butternut squash – stir fried, healthy greens – coconut ice cream with persimmon and pomegranate Thank you to everyone who joined us. We remain incredibly inspired by our community, our friends, and the great care of our hardworking team. Most of all, we welcome you to join us for our next event — we’d be honored to have you.
Alice Waters Instagram – About last night ✨ Guests enjoyed a very special meal by our dear friend Sylvan Mishima Brackett and our chefs David Tanis and Luis Sierra. A multi-course dinner was prepared in honor and celebration of Sylvan’s newest cookbook, “Rintaro: Japanese Food from an Izakaya in California.” Thank you to everyone who attended, it was lovely to see all your smiling faces in our dining room.
